Working Equitation in France
If the beginning of working Equitation in France with the WAWE regulations dates back to 2010, the discipline has developed considerably in recent years to have a National Championship of 10 stages bringing together 250 riders in 2024.
The level of French Senior riders has progressed considerably with a bronze medal in individual and team events won at the WAWE World Championship in Les HERBIERS in 2022, and at the WAWE European Championship in LOWE in 2024. The Junior and Young Rider athletes also distinguished themselves, with the former taking second place in the team ranking and the latter third place in the team ranking at the most recent European Championships, held in Les Herbiers in 2025.
WORKING EQUITATION FRANCE, independent of the French Equestrian Federation, is an organization attached to the French Lusitano Horse Association.
